True Healer has one desire only — to be out of work
How to preserve compassion without feeling sorry for someone’s state of being, circumstances or position in life?
Feeling sorry for someone is to undermine their potential and power, assuming their victimized state. Compassion is to understand circumstances and to relate in an empathetic way but on equal terms. Feeling sorry for someone is to assume them to be less capable than ourselves — regardless of what aspect of their life (emotional, physical, spiritual, mental) we perceive as suffering.
True Healer is the one who sees the light within another and invites them into seeing it as well. True Healer is the seer of capability and potential. In this way True Healer does not assume oneself as superior to another. True Healer is not a judge and does not make oneself a judge in order to assume superiority. True Healer does not assume responsibility either, as assumption of responsibility becomes the assumption of superiority.
False healer is a healer with over-sized Ego, using healing ability as a way to build a new, more spiritually seeming identity construct, where their motivations become essentially sadistic, while a True Healer is a companion holding a mirror. True Healer sets the Self aside, for it never to be placed between the mirror and one seeking healing. Being a companion means balanced participation and equal importance. Companionship is built on mutual respect.
In essence of mutual respect, True Healer never places one before the other: not oneself before another, not another before oneself…and is also made aware, that unconditional Love begins with oneself. Knowing this, True Healer takes good care of oneself before engaging with others.
If you’d ask me what True Healer is, this would be my reply:
True healer is a healer, that has been made aware.
In acceptance of another as equal, we accept one equality on highest and lowest levels of being, allowing both to manifest on their own terms, in due timing, in their own ways. Yet, we always preserve their divine nature as the ultimate truth, and as such a guiding light, as the essence and the absolute. Their divinity is what we are addressing at all times — so they would be reminded in times of oblivion. In that, True Healer maintains respect for free will, even if will of another is — not to be healed. True Healer knows that healing is always upon mutual agreement. In this, True Healer does not make oneself a savior. True Healer is ready for those willing to participate, knowing that healing is a shared experience. Through this, True Healer learns discernment between those in search for healing, from those in search for a rescuer.
True Healer maintains integrity. When True Healer understands that one is not the savior, and applies discernment, the right to refuse assistance in favor of one’s inner knowing, becomes a useful tool, used always without guilt. True Healer is made aware that variety of wounds cannot be healed by the same medicine, and has no need to interfere by all cost. True Healer knows that sometimes interference does more damage than good, and when the time comes, True Healer is clear and steadfast in placing boundaries.
True Healer respects readiness. Readiness to see, to understand and to heal. True healer is a gentle admirer of another’s growth, just like a gardener that’s patiently watering a plant in bloom. In this True Healer applies understanding that every seed grows within its own season. Since True Healer had removed one’s Self from the equation, which means Self serving is no longer a goal, there is no need to force the process in order to prove oneself as a True Healer.
