Virgo Magick: “Chop wood, carry water.”

Spirituality is not out there somewhere. It is not an abstract thought, not something we need to imagine, there’s no need for us to become something else other than who we are to experience it, there’s nowhere else to be other than where we are, in fact — spirituality is experienced when you are going about your daily chores as usual. When you are present within your body, first and foremost — you are spirit embodiment in the most literal sense.

This is all about Virgo, because it is something that every Virgo intuitively knows and actively puts into practice without fault. As much as other may understand natural laws intellectually, Virgo is the one that actually uses them on a regular basis. Practice makes perfect, right?

How often do we hear about Virgo nitpicking, obsessively compulsive and hypochondriac? Sure, guess Virgo’s nagging voice of reason is too much to take sometimes, but that doesn’t make them entirely wrong, does it?

Virgo is concerned with purity and in that purity of thought must come first. Without purity of thought, “it is what it is” becomes just a vague statement. To excel at magick, you have to see the reality of things, and without judgement. It’s no surprise that Virgo is the sister sign of Pisces. Turning away from reality of things does not really help your cause. It does not make things disappear, and you cannot make things otherwise just by avoiding their reality and naming them something else. Clarity of thought then turns into clarity of speech. Speech is second level of manifestation.

For those who don’t know, here are 3 levels of creation:

1.Thought — the seed.

2.Speech — the sprout.

3.Deed — plant stem.

Coming in terms with true nature of things is important in the same way it’s important to know the difference between salt and sugar. Only by seeing and accepting them as they really are, can you use their properties to create what you intended, and even determine if their properties align with your original intention at all. Do not be fooled, micromanaging is actually an art. You cannot cook a meal without understanding spices, you cannot paint without understanding color, you cannot heal without understanding medicinal properties. That’s what means to keep it real.

Being realistic has nothing to do with harsh criticism. Reality is not harsh. It’s just that we have trouble accepting reality, because of our own agenda. Putting that agenda aside, can actually get us a lot further, and it can also inspire a new approach to optimism. Optimism can become out of the awareness of having enough personal power to deal with any presented reality. Maybe optimism is meant to come from self reliance? Maybe optimism comes from knowing that you can use anything to your advantage? Any circumstances that are usually perceived as obstacles, can be used as guidelines and raw potential, or at least an opportunity to sharpen our manifesting skills? You raising your game, makes reality less of a problem and more of resource. Not much different from our Mother nature, that has provided us with resources abundantly. Which also leads me to the notion that we are not so skilled at managing our natural resources. I conclude once again. that unskilled manifesting is the true source of chaos. Virgos, will you take over this matter, pretty please? We need you.

How is that Virgo uses natural laws? Easier than one might think. This is actually something we all do, without realizing we are doing it. It’s not a coincidence that Virgo and the sixth house refer to our lifestyle. It’s not that hard to understand how our habits make our lifestyle. Keeping that in mind, we can get to the idea of our habits determining our place in life. Happy, miserable.Healthy, sick. Rich, poor. You name it. Details are important, so you just might want to pay attention to them.

Virgo is not just detail oriented, but very much ritualistic. It has a way of doing things. It’s not just for sake of being obsessively compulsive. Going by any natural laws, for something to occur, conditions must be created. This is like fixing the environment in which you want your plants grow. In that same way you have to understand the reality of something not being healthy for you, in order to apply necessary changes. Whether it refers to your substance abuse habits, damaging relationship dynamics, limiting beliefs or eating habits. There are things you need to do, to get the results you want and they are just routine. Chances are, whatever is it that you consistently do, you can become really good at.

Cleaning of your physical space is sanctification, purge. It does not only clean your house from germs and bacteria, but also energetically. One of natural laws is that whatever get’s stale becomes toxic. Energy has to circulate. Fresh air in a sealed room, get’s stale. Water isolated from other streams get’s stale and polluted. Our chakras become imbalanced when we suppress our emotions and when we don’t have a healthy outlet. Also, as every type of energy attracts alike energy, pay in mind that any toxic energy cluster becomes a reference to alike energy, the center of attraction — in fact, this is how your body develops physical symptoms, like cancers and tumors and stones, due to negative energy storage. Energy that’s molded enough becomes physical. Virgo is not obsessed with cleanliness just for sake of it. Also, cleaning around the house can be grounding if you do it well. See? Multiple benefits.

So there you are, cleaning your environment, cleaning your emotional body, getting grounded, and you understand just how magical and hardcore spiritual Virgo energy is. It’s all that “here and now” spirituality, being present and alert. If you suck at something — get better, get crafty. Virgo is all about fixing things, about perfecting, so if someone might tell you, you can’t perfect your skill, it’s never going to be a Virgo. Just first you gotta get in terms of not really being good at something and be present with that. That’s alright because you have plenty of room to grow. Now, don’t get confused, because this is not same as “I have to becomes someone else to feel good about myself” crap. You can still feel good while not being skilled or informed about something, cause that’s what learning is for.

One of things that make Virgo so spiritual is the realization that, if you cannot put your spiritual awareness into practice, what good is it even for? So alright, you’ve had few sessions with psychedelics or healing herbs, that you say have expanded your awareness..but how does that improve your life quality? No wonder we often feel so put down by Virgos — we often forget that Pisces and Virgo come as a pair.

Spirit is never separate from matter. This also refers to those who insist that material wealth is non-spiritual. Sure, the approach to material things becomes different with awareness of their spiritual attributes, like realization that material things are merely a part of a greater whole. Or realization that material things are just energy in a different consistency from, say, emotions or thoughts. There is nothing non-spiritual. So, to put an end to this debate, (and some may continue to praise themselves as morally or spiritually above others,, if they wish to do so) i would say that being poor means you are not so skilled at manifesting. Maybe you’re inconsistent. Maybe you lack discipline. Maybe you are self-rejecting. Self-destructing. Maybe you are afraid of success or deem yourself unworthy. Maybe you have poor boundaries. And maybe all this means that you are not as spiritually aware as you think you are — because all these things defy notion of spiritual maturation and mastery. It is literally impossible to reside in state of lack if you improve your habits. What good does your spirituality do?

Chop wood, carry water. Wash dishes often.
